We made our pay before the market opened ⏰
Sometimes, being right is annoying.
If you sat in the trading room all day after what I told you this morning...why? Why would you spend all day staring at a screen when the weather is fine outside?
We already made our money. I told you exactly how this day was going to pan out.
The market doesn't go down.
First thing this morning, Fat Finger Freddie showed up, the market broke VWAP, and we grabbed the $QQQ from $726 down to $723.50.
That was our day's pay. Pre-market.
I told the room: you can go home now, or just buy the $QQQ calls when they Fo-Sho-Bro and break over VWAP at the open. Because the day was basically over. We don't go down on holiday-shortened weeks.
The market has spent the last 3 or 4 days trying to trap delusional psychopaths who actually think this thing is going to sell off. What does the market do best? It takes money from the shorters and hands it to the patient people who know it never goes down.
If you took my advice this morning and bought the slightly out-of-the-money calls (the $730s), you got paid.
Whether you bought them at the open, or waited for the Fo-Sho-Bro at 2:21, or jumped in around 11 o'clock... your entry point was around $2.89 (let's call it $3.00).
They went to $6.00 for a measly 100% on your money.
We played the $QQQ short and then long. We even had a beautiful Fo-Sho-Bro on BlackBerry ($BB) right at the beginning of the day, moving from $12.28 to $12.95 for a quick $700 trade.
I'm going to say it again: you don't trade one-way markets aggressively. You don't take huge size. You don't short. You just let the market make money for you.
Go long, and go enjoy your life. We're moving up in 10-point increments, and soon it'll be 50-point increments. The $QQQ is going to 3,000 in the next ten years.
I hope I'm wrong and the market crashes so we get wild trading days, but chances are I'll be right.
I put together a quick video summarizing exactly what we did today. You can watch it below:
If you're already inside the room, I'll see you tomorrow.

P.S. $726 to $723.50 on the short. $3.00 to $6.00 on the calls. The market tried to trap the bears, and we just took the easy money. Don't fight the trend.
